The psychobiography on Elliott entitled Torment Saint revealed that in early 1995, after Heatmiser had signed with Virgin Records, Elliott, Neil Gust, Jason Mitchell and Sean Croghan lived in the same apartment building for a brief period of time and Elliott purchased an eight-track reel-to-reel which was used to record “Uncle Tupelo tunes.” It is unclear exactly which songs were recorded.
